How this upside down text actually works
This isn't an image and it isn't a font — it's plain Unicode text. Unicode includes characters that were designed to look like other letters rotated 180°, mostly from the International Phonetic Alphabet and a few math symbols. This tool swaps every letter you type for its lookalike in the mode you choose, so the whole line reads correctly when flipped, reversed, mirrored, or styled. Because it's real text, you can paste it anywhere text is accepted, and it stays searchable, copyable, and editable.

Does upside down text work on Instagram and Facebook?
Yes. Because the output is standard Unicode, it pastes and displays correctly on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, and iMessage. A handful of very old apps that don't support extended Unicode ranges may show a blank box (□) instead of certain characters.
Will it work for capital letters and numbers?
Yes. Letters, numbers, and common punctuation all have flipped equivalents. A few rare symbols don't have a true upside-down match in Unicode, so those are left unchanged.
Is this safe to use in a username?
Generally yes, since it's valid Unicode text — but some platforms restrict special characters in usernames specifically (as opposed to bios or posts), so check the platform's rules if a username won't save.
What's the difference between all five modes?
Upside Down flips each letter's shape and reverses the order — the classic version. Reversed Flip flips the letter shapes but keeps your original order.
